Smart Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant Level 1 to support Key Stage 3 pupils within a specialist educational setting in the Stratford-upon-Avon area. This is a fixed-term supply role starting immediately, ideal for someone passionate about inclusion and supporting young people with additional needs.

Job Requirements:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Previous Level 1 Teaching Assistant experience desirable
• Patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusive practice
• Ability to work effectively within a classroom team and alongside external professionals
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child & Adult Workforce) or willingness to obtain
• Valid passport
• Ability to provide 24 months of employer or academic references

 

Role Responsibilities:
• Support pupils’ learning under the guidance of the class teacher
• Assist with preparing learning materials and classroom resources
• Contribute to monitoring and reporting on pupil progress
• Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development
• Encourage independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
• Contribute to a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
